Welcome!

My husband and I were just busily and happily living our lives—then IT happened. Shaken and confused by the sudden turn of events, I turned to God and HIS written Word for strength, comfort and guidance. I thought the unexpected turbulent time would be short-lived; I discovered what God already knew—"the storm" was going to be long and difficult. In our own feeble efforts it was going to be impossible to survive.

Walking on His Footpath (Following the Master's Lead) is a compilation of my personal journals written during this especially difficult crisis period in our lives. I thought I was keeping a self-effort therapeutic journal of my personal thoughts, feelings, and what I was learning while reading through the Bible; I discovered it was HIS words which came alive and soothed my heart and soul and brought peace to my mind.

My journals are not just a window into the drama of our personal lives. My journals chronicle how reading the Bible taught me HIS truth and how HIS words gave me a map for following HIS narrow footpath. Woven throughout my journals is the story of how God used an elderly woman with advanced dementia to miraculously speak HIS words of Purpose, Praise, Protection, Provision, Path and Promise into my life during this difficult time. Her name was Jane. God used Jane's and my shared love for hiking the narrow footpath of the Appalachian Trail to change my perspective and teach me about following HIS narrow footpath and HIS lead. I discovered "valley" experiences are beautiful when viewed from a mountain top! The lessons I learned taught me to not view the struggles we face in life as a trial to endure, but to instead view them as a trail to follow. I thought we were the victims of an ugly and vicious lawsuit; I discovered we were the recipients of a Blessed Event. 

Our faith journey was long and HIS path took many twists and turns, but we are grateful for it ALL—even the ugliness of "the storm." We have seen the Hand of God working in ways we could have never imagined; no amount of human words will ever be enough to adequately praise HIM for all HE has done. We will forever be grateful to the great I AM.

This is not my story. This is HIS Story—and HIS story must be told! If you are reading this, then that means "the storm" has finally ended, and the private box has been unchecked. My private and personal journey of reading through the Bible, while recording my personal thoughts and feelings, is now open to the public and I can happily welcome you to:
