Jeremiah 7:1 – 10:25 (Continued)

September 30, 2011

Don't be afraid of what other people do. "Do not be afraid of those idols, because they can't hurt you, and they can't help you either."

It's all about you God.
  • there is no one like YOU
  • YOU are great
  • YOUR name is great and powerful
  • YOU deserve respect
  • YOU are King of kings
  • YOU are the only true God
  • YOU are the only living God
  • YOU are King forever
  • YOU made the earth by YOUR power
  • with wisdom YOU built the world
  • with understanding YOU stretched out the skies
  • YOU are Jacob's portion
  • YOU made everything
Rely on the LORD's help—and you will have success. Trust in yourself, your schemes, your strength, your wisdom—and you will have failure. Our lives are not our own.  We do not have "control" over our own lives. God is in control. When we understand this, when we "get it" that without HIM we are nothing, THEN we are released to have peace, joy, happiness, success, contentment, etc. in our lives. Who wouldn't want that? To not live your lives surrendered to God is like "chasing the wind."*

Either you humble yourself or God humbles you. I choose to surrender ALL and humble myself before the King of kings and LORD of Lords.

*"Chasing the wind" references: Ecclesiastes 1:14,17; 2:26; 3:4,6,16; 5:16; 6:9

Living our lives un-surrendered is a waste of time, useless, and hopeless. The ONLY way is complete surrender.
