Chapter 7 talks about marriage. We've just celebrated 40 years together with our family trip to Florida. I'm so grateful that our marriage relationship is based upon our mutual love of God—He is the head of our marriage. The best way to show how that works is the picture of a triangle:
The closer each of you become to God the closer you become to each other, and the end result is a happy marriage. John Garmo in Lifestyle Worship says it this way:
Whatever we have been called to do "the important thing is obeying God's commands." (I Corinthians 7:19)

"...if you and your spouse allow lifestyle worship to permeate your marriage, you will save yourselves a lot of grief and anxiety and give yourselves a lot of joy and peace. And God will be glorified in you."Chapter 7 also talks about being single. Jane (Her Name Was Jane) has the following phrases underlined in her KJV:
- "But every man hath his proper gift of God"
- "But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called everyone, so let him walk"
- "therein abide with God"
- "(the unmarried woman) careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy in both body and in spirit"
- "(that ye) may attend upon the Lord without distraction"
- "only in the Lord"
