Mark 9:1–50

August 11, 2012

On 8/8/12, I wrote about "Only Believe." I read Mark 9 on 8/9/12 but decided to wait until after the Leadership Summit was over to write about it. Jesus says in Mark 9:23 - "All things are possible for the one who believes." All things are possible. What are we to do? What is our part? Believe... only believe. The father who was asking Jesus to release his son from the evil spirit responded, "I do believe! Help me to believe even more" (Mark 8:24), and Jesus commanded the spirit to come out of the boy.

We have a role to play. Not a role we would have sought or desired, but a role nonetheless. We have been blessed with a Blessed Event and there must be a R.O.M. (Return on Miracle). Our prayer is that God will continue to reveal the role HE wants us to play. That HE would take what is feeble and make it able. That HE would use our availability and use our (in)abilities to bring honor and glory to HIM. No more "if" God wants a R.O.M. It is "when." My hands are open. When HE says start, I will start. I will not go before Him and I will not lag behind. I will believe. Lord, "Help me to believe even more."

We must not lose our salt. (Mark 9:50) We have a purpose; we have a role to play. We cannot squander what God has given—no matter what.

Addendum: 1/23/16 ~ We have a story to tell. It is HIS story—and it must be told.
