Wisdom. It's not how smart you are. Both the most intelligent and the uneducated need wisdom. Wisdom/knowledge begins with respect for the LORD. (Proverbs 1:7) It's God, slowly peeling layers away and showing you His thoughts and His ways. It's the unveiling of Himself and it's like Proverbs 2:5 says, "You will find that you know God."
It all starts with trust.
Proverbs 3:5–6 - "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don't depend on your own understanding. Remember (acknowledge) the LORD in all you do, and he will give you success. NIV - make your paths straight. KJV - and he shall direct thy paths.
The "I wills" of God. Deuteronomy 29:29 - "There are some things the LORD our God has kept secret, but there are some things he has let us know." That is the reference I have written beside Proverbs 3:5 in my Bible. I also have written—"He will!! Not maybe, not if, not we'll see—HE WILL! When God says He will you can take it to the bank. It is the same as past tense. Thank you Jesus! ~ 12/18/08"
I believed that then, and I believe it now. Even more so. What an amazing journey we are on. God has been so faithful. His promises ARE true. Some things God has kept secret. When is "the storm" going to end? How is God going to do it? What are the circumstances going to be? I don't know the answer to any of those questions. But this I what I am sure of: "There are some things he has let us know." Last night was another example of this. Layers being peeled away and His wisdom being shown to us. Not our thoughts—His thoughts. Not our ways—His ways. The "I wills" of God, written in stone. My response is what I have written beside Deuteronomy 29:29.
I will trust God in those unseen things
I will wait upon the LORD
I will believe in His protection
I will rest in His promises
My life is in HIS hands
Amazing! Amazing that this is what I am reading and writing about today when God is once again unveiling himself and showing us wisdom. (See - The Ransom)
Proverbs 3:7–10 - "Don't depend on your own wisdom. Respect the LORD and refuse to do wrong. Then your body will be healthy, and your bones strong. Honor the LORD with your wealth and the first fruits from your crops. Then your barns will be full, and your wine barrels will overflow with new wine."
Proverbs 3:11 - Do not reject the LORD's discipline. Jane (Her Name Was Jane) has written beside it "educating." God's discipline is what educates us. 14 Wisdom is worth more than silver; it brings more profit than gold... 15 nothing you could want is equal to it... 18 As a tree produces fruit, wisdom gives life to those who use it, and everyone who uses it will be happy."
It's not enough to just know wisdom. You must—DO!
Hold on to wisdom. Don't let it out of your sight. You will go on your way in safety, you won't get hurt, you won't be afraid, you will sleep in peace. Proverbs 3:25–26 - "You won't be afraid of sudden trouble; you won't fear the ruin that comes to the wicked, because the LORD will keep you safe. (Reminds me of Psalm 1.) He will keep you from being trapped."
Make good choices. Choose the path that leads to life. Don't join others in making wrong choices. Don't be jealous of them. Then, in Proverbs 3:32–35 Solomon lays out the consequences of our choices, both the good and bad.
Strong words. God's words—not mine. Luke 9:24–25 - "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world yet forfeit his very self?" (KJV - lose his soul)
While the choice of how we are going to life our lives is individually ours, the consequences of our choices (both good and bad) can last for generations.

The LORD hates those who do wrong,Wise people will receive honor but fools will be disgraced.
but he is a friend to those who are honest.
The LORD will curse the evil person's house,
but he will bless the home of those who do right.
The LORD laughs at those who laugh at him,
but he gives grace to those who are not proud.
