The last chapter in the section: Contrasts of Goodness and Evil.
Proverbs 19:21 - "People can make all kinds of plans (schemes, strategies, etc.) but only the LORD's plans will happen."
"People's own foolishness ruins their lives, but in their minds they blame God." (Verse 3) They live their lives serving themselves, then can't understand it and blame God when things don't turn out the way they want.
Verse 5 - "A witness who lies will not go free; liars will never escape."
Verse 9 - "A witness who lies will not go free, liars will die."
Verse 28 - "A corrupt witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil."
"Being kind to the poor is like lending to the LORD; he will reward you for what you have done." (Verse 17) Stop and think about that, I mean really think about it. We (people) tend to know scripture and Bible "stories" so well that we sometimes miss the importance and meaning of what is being said. Being kind to the poor is like lending to the LORD. Our acts of kindness is increasing to God! The God who owns everything and needs nothing! Our actions are building Him up. Not for our own personal gain. It is for Him only. THEN HE blesses.
