Jane (Her Name Was Jane) sums up Psalm 29 perfectly. She has written in her Bible—"Don't be afraid of the storm, just look for His glory and power." (Wiersbe) "The voice of the LORD breaks, makes, and shakes." She has titled the chapter, "God's power and glory in the storm."
I love that! We have witnessed God's power and His glory in "the storm."
There are eleven verses in Psalm 29. "The LORD" is written eighteen times. The I AM. God is in control. The Lord's voice is mentioned seven times. All He has to do is speak the command and it happens. Psalm 29:11 - "The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace." And it is all for His honor and glory.
Psalm 30:5 - "Crying may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning." 9 "What gain is there in my destruction, in my going down into the pit? Dust cannot praise you; it cannot speak about your truth. LORD, hear me and have mercy on me. LORD, help me." 12 "I will sing to you and not be silent. LORD, my God, I will praise you forever."
"There is nothing on earth that can satisfy our deepest longing." (Life Lesson) Only God can fill the God-given void in our lives.
