Psalm 40:1 – 41:13

It's all about you, God.

I waited patiently for the LORD.

• He turned to me
• He heard my cry
• He lifted me out
• He stood me on a rock
• He put a new song in my heart
• He made my feet steady

Many people will see this and worship Him. Then they will trust the LORD.

Happy is the person who:

• trusts God
• doesn't turn to the proud
• doesn't worship false gods
• understands it is God who is in control

God doesn't want our sacrifices and offerings. He wants us and our obedience. If He has "us" the sacrifices will follow.

8 "My God, I want to do what you want. Your teachings are in my heart." I will tell about your goodness, I will not keep silent... Please, Lord, save me. Hurry to help me... let those who follow you be happy and glad. May they always say, "Praise the LORD."
