Psalm 34

March 8, 2011
"...We will never know in a personal way the faithfulness of Christ apart from adversity... God is in the process of engineering circumstances through which he can reveal Himself to each of us. And both history as well as our personal testimonies bear witness to the fact it is in time of adversity that we come to a greater realization of God's incredible faithfulness to us." ~ From How to Handle Adversity by Charles Stanley.
"I will praise at all times; his praise will always be on my lips... he saved me from all I feared... from all his troubles... those who fear him lack nothing... those who seek the LORD lack no good thing... he delivers them from all their troubles... he delivers him from them all... he protects all his bones, not one will be broken... the LORD redeems his servants, no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned."

7 "The angel of the LORD camps around those who fear God, and he saves them."

15 "The LORD sees the good people and listens to their prayers."

17 "The LORD hears good people when they cry out to him, and he saves them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed. People who do what is right may have many problems, but the LORD will solve them all. He will protect their very bones; not one of them will be broken. Evil will kill the wicked; those who hate good people will be judged guilty. But the LORD saves his servant's lives; no one who trusts him will be judged guilty."

Verses from Life Lesson for Psalms 35 and 36 ~

Exodus 14:14 - "Remain calm; the LORD will fight for you."
I Samuel 17:47 - "...the LORD does not need swords or spears to save people. The battle belongs to him, and he will hand you over to us."
II Chronicles 20:15–17 - "The battle is not your battle, it is God's... you won't need to fight in this battle. Just stand strong in your place and you will see the LORD save you... don't be afraid or discouraged, because the LORD is with you."
Nehemiah 4:20 - "Our God will fight for us."
Romans 12:19 - "Do not try to punish others when they wrong you, but wait for God to punish them with his anger. It is written, "I will punish those who do wrong; I will repay them," says the LORD."
"See Me (God)—surrounding you and keeping you from evil. See yourself—completely safe, with your feet upon a rock established in the ways of God." ~ Marie Chapian
Addendum:  2/11/15 ~ Psalm 34:17–22 are verses we used to quote as my husband and I walked hand-in-hand every morning praying for God's guidance and protection as we battled "the storm."
