Psalm 108 - A Prayer for Victory
Psalm 109 - A Prayer Against an Enemy
"God, my heart is steady. I will sing and praise you with all my being." Those are David's words, but they are mine as well. 6"Answer us and save us by your power so the people you love will be rescued." 12"Help us fight the enemy. Human help is useless, but we can win with God's help. He will defeat our enemies."
Psalm 109:1–5 - "God, I praise you. Do not be silent. Wicked people and liars have spoken against me; they have told lies about me. They have said hateful things about me and attack me for no reason. They attacked me even though I loved them and prayed for them. I was good to them, but they repay me with evil. I loved them, but they hate me in return."
David then goes on to say what his accuser wants to happen to him. The wicked person's heart desire, their "wish" is to destroy David in any way possible.
We have accusers that are seeking the same thing that David's accusers sought from him. I don't understand it. I don't understand how someone wants to seek harm against another person. No part of my thinking can comprehend "the storm" and what my sister and brother-in-law are trying to do. Like David, we are not seeking any kind of personal revenge. Vengeance is the Lord's. Psalm 140:9 - "Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused." (Her Name Was Jane)
Psalm 109:26–31 - "LORD my God, help me; because you are loving, save me. Then they will know that your power has done this; (I Kings 18:36–37; Isaiah 41:20) They will know that you have done it LORD. They may curse me, but you bless me. They may attack me, but they will be disgraced. Then I, your servant, will be glad. Let those who accuse me be disgraced and covered with shame like a coat. I will thank the LORD very much; I will praise him in front of many people. He defends the helpless and saves them from those who accuse them."
Saturday – Mom just called. Dad is getting worse. I'm heading over there.

- Let him constantly find opposition in his life
- Let him be judged guilty
- Let his days be few
- Let him be removed from leadership
- Let him be ruined—no food—no home
- Let a creditor seize all he has (KJV); extortioner (!)
- Let other people steal everything he has worked for
- Let him have no love or mercy
- Let him die and be forgotten.
