Psalm 140:1 – 144:15 (Continued)

June 08, 2011

Psalm 141–144 continues the same theme.

Psalm 141:8 - "God, I look to you for help. I trust in you, LORD... Protect me from the traps they set for me and from the net that evil people have spread. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, but let me pass by safely."
Psalm 142:1–3 - "I cry out to the LORD; I pray to the LORD for mercy. I pour out my problems to him; I tell him my troubles. When I am afraid, you LORD, know the way out. In the path where I walk, a trap is hidden for me."
Psalm 142:5–7 - "LORD, I cry out to you. I say, "You are my protection. You are all I want in this life. Listen to my cry, because I am helpless. Save me from those who are chasing me, because they are too strong for me. Free me from my prison, and then I will praise your name. Then good people will surround me, because you have taken care of me."
Psalm 143:1 - "LORD, hear my prayer; listen to my cry for mercy."
Psalm 143:6 - "I lift my hands to you in prayer. As a dry land needs rain, I thirst for you. Show me the way I should go."
Psalm 143:8 - "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go."
Psalm 143:10 - "Teach me to do what you want, because you are my God. Let your good spirit lead me on level ground."
Psalm 143: 11b–12a - "In your goodness save me from my troubles. In your love defeat my enemies."
