God watches over His people but that doesn't mean we just sit idly by and do nothing. What we are to "do" is pray and not to try and fix things ourselves. Isaiah 62:6 - "You people who remind the LORD of your needs in prayer should never be quiet." "The LORD has made a promise, and by his power he will keep his promise." You will never again have to give your food or wine (what you have worked for) to your enemies. Tell the people to be encouraged, because, "Look, your Savior is coming." He is bringing your reward. He is bringing your payment.
Isaiah 63 and 64 is divided into three sections. 1) The Lord Judges His People. Accountability will (and does) happen and God is the one who brings it about. 2) The Lord's Kindness to His People. "I will tell about the LORD's kindness and praise him for everything he has done... He has shown great mercy to us and has been very kind to us." 3) A Prayer for Help. "Tear open the skies and come down to earth... let your enemies know who you are... You have done amazing things we did not expect... You help those who enjoy doing good, who remember how you want them to live."
Isaiah 64:8 - "LORD, you are our father. We are like clay, and you are the potter; your hands made us all."
