God's Amazing Love

October 24, 2012

My heart just overflows with gratitude to God. How grateful I am for His love. I am overwhelmed by His saving sacrifice. Last night whenever I woke up I was quoting Psalm 8 or singing How Great Thou Art or O How He Loves You and MeHuman words just are not enough to adequately express my love or gratitude to God for His unfathomable love  Can you imagine singing "Amen! Praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and strength belong to our God forever and ever. Amen!" with the multitudes from every corner of the earth? (Revelations 7:12) And joining the angels in singing, "The Lamb who was killed is worthy to receive power, wealth, wisdom, and strength, honor, and glory and praise!" As the song says,
"What a day that will be when my Jesus I will see. When I look upon his face, the one who saved me by his grace. When he takes me by the hand and leads me to the promised land. What a day glorious day that will be."  (Listen to it here.)
"O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name is all the earth." (Psalm 8)
"Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder. Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee. How great Thou art. How great Thou art. Then sings my soul my Savior, God to Thee. How great Thou art. How great Thou art. I think of God, His son not sparing, sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin. Then sings my soul my Savior, God to Thee... How Great Thou Art!"  (Listen to it here.)

O How He Love You and Me

O how he loves you and me,
O how he loves you and me.
He gave his life,
What more could he give?
O how he loves you,
O how he loves me,
O how he loves you and me.

Jesus to Calv'ry did go
His love for mankind to show
What he did there
Brought hope from despair,
O how he loves you
O how he loves me
O how he loves you and me.

(Listen to the melody here.)

I must be going through another spiritual growth spurt. I am just awed by God and His love for us. What little we can fathom is overwhelming. We are grateful LORD—we are grateful.
"When Christ shall come, With shouts of acclamation, And take me home, What joy shall fill my heart. Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, And then proclaim, My God How Great Thou Art."
