John 1:1–51

October 15, 2012
"How will they know? If only they could have been there. Suddenly, in his heart he knows what to do. Later, under the lights of a sunlit shaft, the old fisherman unfolds the scroll and begins to write the story of his life... In the beginning there was the Word..." ~ From the Introduction to John Max Lucado NCV Bible
I have no plans, no ideas, no dreams, no agenda. This has nothing to do with me. It is ALL about HIM. We cannot and must not keep what God has done for us (and in us) to ourselves.  We would be squandering the Blessed Event. I have no idea where God is taking us on this journey. What I do know is this: we will follow and we cannot be silent.

John the Baptist proclaimed the coming of the Christ, "Prepare ye the way." John the disciple had to tell what he saw and experienced. We are just simple ordinary people, but we have witnessed the acts of an extraordinary God and we must share it! Tears come to my eyes every time I say or write those words. My hands are open, Lord. Use the talents you have given me in any way you desire.
"In the beginning there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were made by him, and nothing was made without him. In him there was life, and that life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it." (John 1:1–5)
Addendum: 9/1/16 ~ It is just so humbling to read my thoughts in 2012. We had no idea where God's footpath was leading. We were just continuing to put one foot in front of the other and following HIM wherever it led. Two years after this journal entry was written, God revealed more of the path to come by showing us where we had already been and where the trail was leading.

LORD – What Am I to Do?
The LORD Answers!
I Didn't Know—BUT GOD DID!!

You just don't know what you don't know. Be faithful! Be prepared! Be ready! FOLLOW!
