The lost sheep; the lost coin; and the prodigal son. All stories of what was lost being found and redeemed. God loves ALL people. He wants ALL to come to Him and change their hearts and lives. Salvation is available to ALL; it is found in no one else but Jesus. HE alone has paid the price. And, He paid it ALL.
The prodigal son chose to take what he thought was his and he chose to leave the blessings and safety he had while at his fathers and go do what he wanted. Circumstances were allowed into his life to show him that without his father he was nothing. When his desire was for nothing but the father, he returned home.
That has been our prayer for my sister and brother-in-law for five and one half years now.
My passion for them to change their hearts and lives hadn't changed—and still hasn't. Then on 9/1/12 I read, "Anyone who begins to plow a field but keeps looking back is of no use in the kingdom of God." Then I understood. It is part of the New Beginning. I am not to look back. It is in God's hands, and ultimately theirs—and I am to leave it there.

LORD, may they understand that without you they are nothing, and may they desire nothing but you.I'm so grateful that God gave us the words to pray for them. That prayer has been repeated hundreds (if not thousands) of times... until several weeks ago. It used to be on my lips during the day and in my thoughts at night. But then several weeks ago, as those thoughts would come to me during the night and I would try to pray for them, the words just wouldn't come. I couldn't understand what was happening. What was going on? I questioned why the words wouldn't come. I didn't understand.
